I'm a freelance researcher in the field of educational psychology interested in narrowing the research-practice gap in this field. So on one hand, I'm trying to make scientific findings more accessible for practitioners so that it becomes a bit easier to engage in evidence-based practices. On the other hand, I'm trying to fine-tune my ears to the problems teachers, school psychologists and other educational professionals face in their everyday work to design my research in a way that it contributes to finding new solutions.

To achieve these goals, I've joined forces with the super talented Alejandra Balbi and Micaela Bonilla to start Evidencia en Acción - EVA, an initiative that aims to connect professional practice and the best scientific evidence that is available to improve education in Ibero-America.

 

 

 

 

 

My upbringing was characterised by lots of travelling and multicultural experiences, as my mother is from Uruguay and my dad is German and we also lived in Asia when I was a child. That has been a huge advantage for my research, because it has made it much easier for me to access opportunities in other countries and establish international collaborations with other researchers in South America, Europe and Australasia.
